Down-N-Dirty’s 31st Anniversary Party

Down-N-Dirty (DND) motorcycle club (M/C) recently celebrated their 31st Anniversary Party, no small accomplishment considering some clubs never see their fifth year. The event was held in the Nation’s Capital at the DC Armory, a venue typically used for Presidential Inaugurations, auto shows and performances. DND took full advantage of the space by filling it with vendors, food and one enormous dance floor easily accommodating everyone for what must have been one of the largest biker’s shuffle beyond the PRO convention

Even with less than ideal weather conditions that consisted of ice, snow, wind and freezing temperatures, approximately 3,000 were in attendance representing M/Cs from Detroit, North Carolina, New Jersey and even as far away as Texas. Several independent riders also came out for DND’s big night including radio and TV personality Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan. Although it was a blustery winter’s night outside, Throttle Angels’ Samonaé, Ms. Nay aka Throttle Buttafly and Miss C added an element of heat inside as they posed graciously for photos with those in attendance. “We’re honored and happy to be part of such a wonderful event” stated Throttle Angel brand ambassador and cover model Samonaé.

Taking home trophies that night were Raleigh North Carolina’s Heavy Rotation for the most out of state represented, Sons of Soloman for the most in state represented and HOTT M/C for the most represented co-ed club. Also, coming out to show support were Queens Together, Souja Girls, ZooRyders, Platinum Rollers, East Coast Busas, Lady Unity Rydaz, Speed Divas, Omen’s M/C, Latin American Motorcycle Association (L.A.MA.) and many more.

“We’re happy to reach this significant milestone and thankful to all those that made it out to celebrate with us,” said Zem Wise, bike builder and president of DND’s Northern Virginia chapter. Look for much more to come from DND as they continue to withstand the test of time.
