Avon Tyres Standard Equipment on Latest Triumph Models
Two new Triumph motorcycles are rolling out of showrooms on Avon Tyres’ acclaimed Cobra tires.
The British manufacturer’s latest models—the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster and Triumph Bobber Black—both come equipped with Avon’s high-end cruiser tire as their original equipment (OE) tire of choice.
“These two beautiful new bikes give their riders a real sense of style,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Avon Tyres North America. “With the Cobra’s aggressive design, grip levels, and deep tread depth, they also deliver excellent high-speed maneuverability, mileage and class-leading stability.”
The new Bonneville Speedmaster and Bobber Black both come with MT90B16 front and 150/80R16 rear Cobra tires.
The relationship between Avon Tyres and Triumph goes beyond this recent fitment. A custom version of Avon’s Cobra product was specially designed as the OE fit for the original Triumph Bobber when it was launched in 2016.
The new Bobber Black displays even more attitude with its blacked-out styling. Triumph worked closely with Avon’s in-house development team to create an all-new Cobra with special carcass construction and materials to suit the Bobber’s unique setup.
“The Bobber and our Cobra tire is a great example of two British brands working well together and sharing success over the last year,” Warner noted. “We are delighted that we can now expand on the relationship we enjoy with Triumph.”
