2015 Washington DC Progressive International Motorcycle Show

The International Motorcycle Shows (IMS) rolled into the Washington Convention for three days of two-wheel love with all major manufacturers on site to show off their line-up of cruisers, ATVs, sportbikes and dirt/dual purpose bikes. Kawasaki featured their revolutionary Ninja H2 and H2R, Harley-Davidson teased with their all-electric bike, code name LiveWire, Yamaha showed off their all new Yamaha R1 and R1M bikes and Polaris stole the show with their stunningly wicked Slingshot prominently set up in the DMVs top dealership, Coleman PowerSports‘ display.

Providing the adrenaline-rush excitement was Team No Limit Jason Britton and Eric Hoenshell as they put on several shows throughout the event with each show drawing large crowds of fans. Jam sessions from the School of Rock featured local high school bands as they entertained the audience on the Progressive main stage while custom bikes from sportbikes to bobbers filled the J&P Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show with Garwood Custom Cycles‘ participation from their customers took over the show.

We had the pleasure to feature MyrtleWestCycle‘s truly unique one-of-a-kind custom drag bike complete with a set of Brocks Performance carbon fiber BST rims and a few speed secrets we’re under oath to keep quiet. Additionally, award winning photo-journalist Insana Collins joined us with her trend-setting DMV Motobomb photography and last, but certainly not least we were honored to have motorcycle fashions from Superior Worx including their Ground Pounders and Knee Draggers clothing lines. As if this wasn’t enough excitement, we were set up next to our family SportBikes Inc Magazine with Publisher Mr. Allan Lane. For those that have not experienced this personality yet, imagine the strength and tenacity of a Rottweiler combined with the antics and energy of a caffeinated Jack Russell Terrier and always a pleasure to be around.

We give a special nod of thanks and appreciation to Shoe City, Mothers Polish, Fit Fathers and Automotive Rhythms for their on-going support, custom appreciation gifts and give-aways.

Beyond the bikes, the DC IMS has come to be a way for riders to keep-in-touch and reconnect during the “off season” in a family atmosphere. Along those lines we can’t say thank you enough to everyone that stopped by to show the support. We love our city! For more photos, be sure to check us out on our Facebook page ThrottleLife
