2014 DMV March of Dimes’ Bikers for Babies

The 2014 March of Dimes Bikers for Babies (MD Chapter) charity ride had a lofty goal of raising $35,000 to support local DMV families with much needed support to those with sick or premature babies and to those with little blessings that go onto to become mom and dad’s little Angels. I’m proud to say the organization not only met that goal, but exceeded it in raising more than $45,000.

The day started at Maryland International Raceway during the Mirock Superbike Series Fall Nationals with entertainment by VenDetta, vendors and a parade of bikes down the legendary track onto a 45 mile police-escorted ride through scenic Southern Maryland.

The weather could not have better for this picturesque ride throughout Southern Maryland ending at Charles County Fairgrounds with additional vendors, food, music from the Franklin Square Band and a custom bike show.

There are those that have been involved in supporting the MD Bikers for Babies ride for more than 20 years. 2014 was our first year to join this charity and ride, but certainly not our last as we look forward to broadening the support.

We thank everyone for their contributions and want to give a special HUGE thanks to iWHEELiE.COM, Kwame Olds #KOPhotography, Adrian “Aboogie” McQueen, Maggie “BabeePinay” DiMatulac, Crystal Dickerson Racing Fan Page, Kris Drakeford, Cynthia “PepsiCyndi” and Garwood Custom Cycles for quickly joining the team, your selfless efforts are sincerely appreciated and to the Maryland #MarchofDimes #BikersforBabies for approaching us with this personally touching ride. Sandra and Jennifer, you are both a joy to work with.
