2013 Bike Week Expo – The Hot Spot!

The Atlantic Beach Bike Fest kicked off in high gear with the 1st ever Bike Week Expo aka the “Hot Spot”. Industry heavy weights Myrtle West Customs, Roaring Toyz, Garwood Custom Cycles, Tricked Out Cycles, and TOCE provided on-site installations and repairs along with enough of their own 2-wheel glistening, eye-candy to satisfy even the toughest critic’s sweet tooth. The Hot Spot was truly indeed just that, hosting a cash prize custom bike contest with the lucky winner walking away with $1K cash in hand on the spot — not bad for a first ever custom bike show. Contestants included bikes from Backyard Baggers, Sick Bikez, and Busa Fest’s own CJ Busa Girl and her “Glam” Hayabusa by Garwood Custom Cycles. However, once the votes were tallied the Crowd Choice award went to Travon Barrino with his immaculate custom ’03 Aztec themed Harley-Davidson Road King.

The excitement didn’t stop there. What would a bike event be without stunts? Bike Week Expo had that covered with a sick stunt show from Team Myrtle West with guest female stunt sensation Christina “Crashtina” Billings who represented girl-power to the fullest alongside her male teammates including the always entertaining Ryan Lanier.
Bringing the automotive power was Automotive Rhythms as they unleashed the new Dodge Charger SRT8 which fit perfectly within this environment. The adrenaline-loving crowd was the perfect audience to showcase the muscle car’s brawny 470 horsepower HEMI as it quickly became a crowd favorite while surrounded by some of the most coveted, custom sportbikes and baggers on the streets.

The Atlantic Beach Bike Fest may just have found its new “Hot Spot” for years to come.
